Caught what I would guess was a 2.5 to 3 lb. Largemouth. I was fishing a black and chartreuse spinner-bait by ripping it past the edge of lily pads on the South East end of the lake with a moderate to fast retrieve. The lure was fished close to surface occasionally letting the blades break the surface to create a disturbance. The Bass I caught smacked the lure very aggressively, I did not have to set the hook. Other than that no other fish or bites. All in all had a good day. The weather had been warm for a few strait days and I feel this was contributed to the fish being more active as they come out of their winter rut. In addition I was fishing from a float tube, which I feel a tube or boat is a must for this lake.

Nice catch. Did you try out anything besides the spinner? I am heading over to Terrell this weekend

I started the day off throwing a Senko and Brush hog deep into the lily pads. I did this for approximately an hour with no luck. As soon as I switched over to the spinner bait I got my fish.

I have luck there with buzz bait, swim jig and top water minnow...lake it pretty shallow so anything below the surface tends to get hung up.
