First time on the lake. Used an inflatable with an electric trolling motor to troll around the main body of the lake. Missed a few good takes, who knows? Caught about four perch one was nice and big, the others all small.
Really looking for a new place to catch eyes, anybody have any general suggestions on how to be productive for walleye in this reservoir? I have no depth finder and everything seemed about 10 to 12 feet deep. any tips on fishing walleye at scooteney would be greatly appreciated!

I posted a report on Scootney a couple weeks ago. Nice lake, we had some success. Nice to be away from the crowds.

Hey Mike. Thanks for the reply, was wondering if you found the lake to be all same depth basically? I couldn't seem to find anything to "work". I have no electronics so am limited but I am a decent walleye fisherman. Am going back for Father's Day weekend. Any tips???????. I usually fish potholes.

Scootney tends toward all or nothing. The old dependables are usually better (like Potholes or the Columbia), but once in a while Scootney does okay. I usually drive the extra few miles to one of those. Plenty of carp to bowfish though. Banks has been pretty good for walleye. You say you are looking for new water. Is Potholes the only one you fish?

Hey there thanks for the reply. I went back a couple days ago, and had a pretty decent day. Four fish over 15 inches one was 17. I also caught an 11+ inch Crappie, and various other small fish of all kinds. Had a lunker on for about 6 seconds. Was fun.
The only other reservoir I have finished for walleye is potholes. I've driven by Moses like a couple times for other things. But I'm coming from the east side so I get to potholes first. :-)
