I was able to treat my my guests from Michigan to a fabulous day at Roosevelt. The weather was better than forecasted and the walleye were on the bite. We launched at Lincoln and had our first fish on 15 minutes later.
We trolled 2-3 oz. bottom walker 1 mph +\- with a worm harness. Our first pass was in 25' FOW. We caught several on the first pass, but few on the second and third. I decided to try deeper water. This plan paid off. By the end of the day we were fishing 50-60 FOW. My crew kept 24 eyes and a nice bow for a fish fry, but we landed close to 60. Nothing over 18", but we had a blast. Next time I'll have to bring an extra dozen worms.
