Began fishing at 5am, up near the Boy Scout camp. Using power bait, I got a strike from a 13 inch Bow, and over 3 hours hooked 6 with the largest being about 3 pounds. In 5 days, I caught 24 bows and silvers. Nothing under12 inches, and all with power bait.

Thanks for your report, nice looking trout. How is the camping up at Bonaparte? Have always wanted to give this lake a try and do some camping also but wasn't sure how the campgrounds were. Any information on this from you would be greatly appreciated, Thank you!!

There is a large forest service campground as well as the resort. Always good camping available. I did get both Kokanee, as well as rainbow. I caught only 1 under 12 in. I used bigger hooks to avoid the small ones. There have been some big rainbow, An 8 lb Mack, and a tiger caught recently.

I fished Bonaparte for an hour in the eve of the 4th. Did good for the time I was out. Healthy Kokanee. There is the forest service camp sites, and also a resort with accommodations. Cool place

Thanks for the info Bent hook pontoon. Are the forest service campsites basically for tents or are they big enough for like a 24ft. camp trailer and are the Kokanee of decent size like 12-14 inch or do they run smaller?
