Went out this Saturday and Sunday. Launched at Eddie vine ramp. fished meadow point north thru richmond beach. Lost three chinook saturday. One broke my main line, one off after a bit of fight, and one lost at boat. All definately keepers, at least in size. kept two silvers on saturday and one on sunday. Light bite on sunday. a couple of small ones on the line on the line and a couple of good downrigger strikes. Lots of shakers saturday . Looking good for winter blackmouth. Fog rolled in and set right down on the water sunday. I had yet to set up my fish finder with any way points so was a bit of a guess to get back to the launch. Kind of followed the bottom contour thru meadow point, never did see the green buoy, but a boat or two racing to the east clued us in to the launch location. If not, we surely would have made it to elliot bay. LOL> Speaking of Elliot bay, be ready for the circus there, end of the week.

Been using cop car coyote spoon and gay flasher. Very hot setup on saturday , not so much on sunday. Need a larger spoon. Using 4.5 I think, going to a number 6.

I've got the cop car coyote spoon ready to go, but not sure about the gay flasher. Hoping its a typo, you dont want to know what google comes up with for a gay flasher..... not sure why I didn't figure that out before searching? Glad I didn't do an image search.

I think the reference was to a red racer flasher. That and a 44 inch or so leader has been productive. Definately do not google and open the page for gay flasher. But then again, each to his own. I have been using a #5 cop car spoon and have hooked several nice fish, but none in the boat. Have also picked up some coho, with the biggest perhaps 6 pounds or so, unfortunately, still had the fin so it swam away unharmed. anyone know the status of the boat ramp at elliot bay. Still has all the boat parking or has the city robbed trailer stalls for the commuters.
