Today was the second time in the last two weeks that I have put in at Lake Spokane Camp Ground and caught a limit in two to three hours. True most of the fish are about 12 inches long, however, you never know when you are going to catch a carry over in the 15 to 16 inch range. The meat on the fish is excellent and they make really good table fare. This morning we were on the water at about 8:00am and we were coming back to the dock with limits at 10:15am. I hope the pictures come through as the largest fish measured in at 16 1/2". The two hot colors this morning were chartreus in a #3 Blue Fox spinner and no flasher. The second color was red Mack's wedding ring behind small pop gear. In both set ups we used half of a nightcrawler. We trolled in 50 to 60 feet of water at 25 feet deep and about 60 feet behind the ball. Trolling speed was 1.8 to 2 miles per hour. The action was fast and we lost many fish on the way in, also there was more than one double. If your looking for a good area with little or no crowd and really good fishing, you should try it.
