I set out in my kayak from Rotary Park around 7:30. My first time on the river so it took a bit of getting used to but I started with a jig as I drifted down stream after finding a spot that wasn't too crowded. I did not have an anchor so paddle back every couple casts.
I could see a fair bit of activity but it wasnt till the tide seemed to head in more that it pocked up. I didn't get any bites till 11:30 when had one on the line. It worked itself free when I had to mess with my paddle to get it out of the way. I stayed till 1230 with no more luck. Other people around in the boats were getting bites and catching fish so I rated a 2.
