Got to Blue Heron around 8am, launched the boat and headed for the I 90 bridge. When my wife and I got there there was already several people above pulling in crappie. We tied up to a piling to be out of the way from the boats but soon found out we were not out of the way from people above who would cast into my boat or right next to it. After a few verbal moments we got it figured out . The crappie are there, huge schools of them but the legal 9 inch + ones can take a while to fill a limit. We must have caught 60 ish or more 8 and 1/2 inch crappies before getting 9 that were 9 inches or bigger. It surreal sitting under the bridge and crappie are being hoisted all around you sometimes constantly along with those being returned with a big splash because of the height. One guy above had the dialed in catching one on every cast for at least 20 fish. he was using a slip bobber with 2 jigs and some kind of white nibble on a green and white jig. The fish liked his set up the best . I tried a small spinner blade and would get pecks but only a few small bass could get hooked with it. A beetle spin would be better but didnt have one . We used small jigs with and without bobbers. Had a great time , only complaint was when we returned to launch I was walking up to get my truck and my cargo net was missing from the bed of my truck. I had left it there several times but I guess I picked the wrong day that day. A blue beat up nova filled with trash pulled up between me and another boat and trailer and 3 people got out and went for a walk on the trail? I think they were coming back to see what else they could find but have no proof just seemed odd they would park in the trailer area between tucks and trailers with just a car , they didnt strike me as nature / exercise folks was all. If you go to Blue Heron and launch do not leave anything in the bed of your truck is my opinion. Tight lines

I had my boat trailer plug adapter stolen yesterday also. I will keep a watch out for the blue nova.

That car was there last time I was. Nothing taken from my rig, but I agree they looked... suspiciously idle.
