Started just after sunrise. Guy next to me caught a pink, a 5 lb coho, an 8 lb, and eventually a big 12 lb coho. Lost a few others. Thanks to that guy for giving me some spoon-drifting pointers. Saw another guy land a jack coho.
I was drifting dick nites and on what I said was going to be my last cast I hooked up. Green no. 1 dick nite. Fought the fish for 5 min or so, until it ran into the shallows, dove, and broke my leader on a rock. Don't know how big it was for sure, but it felt like a decent coho. Could have been a small king too; it never rolled on the surface and wanted to stay really deep. Never came close enough to spot it. Will try again tomorrow.
