Well surprising that the Bow’s are still biting at Beaver. Pretty solid day with 7 to the net and 7 that did not make it all the way to the net....the barbless effect.

I launched about 11 and stayed to long as the bite slowed way down as the day went on. With the Dawgs on the TV, the lake was pretty empty. 4 people in a Livingston were doing well Powerbait Fishing and stayed longer than I did.

I had some issues with a boat that had two grumpy old men in it that were all over me for being to close to them while they were anchored, so I’ll ask the question about proper lake etiquette.

Coming from a golfing background, I use and endorse proper etiquette in everything that I do, but what I feel is proper other may have their own agenda like these two did.

I was trolling a certain area, back and forth. This boat appeared and anchored in a part of the area that I was working, but I was not in that area when they achored. I have no issues with this. The first time that I came near them I picked up my lines and started my trolling instead of turning near them. The next time I turned quite aways from them and trolled by them about 70’ and that is when this man with an accent lashed out at me saying that I was trolling over their lines and scaring away the fish and to go some place else. Of course I let him know that I did not go over their lines or I would have caught them. I later caught a fish, held it up (which I never do) and yelled at him, “I release fish the that I catch, so that you can catch them! Now catch one if you can!”

They moved after catching nothing to about 15’ off the shore and as I was going to row by about 70 from the shoreline, He cast straight out in front of me so I had to alter my course in order to not go over his line. Why anchor up 15’ from the shoreline to cast straight out 60 more feet?

My first issue on the lake since I started back in Feb. 2017.

Just how much of the lake did Mr. Beaver Lake have rights too? He seemed to think a whole bunch!

Thoughts please

There's a couple Eastern-European guys in a boat that always anchor at a spot at the north end of the lake. And they don't stop fishing when they catch their two fish and keep filling the boat with fish. Grumpy guys that yell at people near their spot. These may likely the same guys you ran into.

That is good to know and thanks for the warning. I might hit Beaver later today.
One think though... isn't the daily limit for trout 5? You mentioned 2. I will read the whole rule book again just to make sure.
