We trolled lake Goodwin for 5 hours and did not have any luck. We were hoping to hook some of the 5,000 rainbows that were reported to have been stocked at this lake earlier in the week. But we had absolutely no luck, not even a bight. We checked 7 other boats on the lake and they also had nothing. Very poor fishing. It was almost as if the lake had not been stocked or perhaps the fish were in shock.

Maybe bottom fishing with worm or powerbait would have been better?

Just before heading back into the dock, we tried that for about 45 minutes, with nothing. I'm just not sure what to think of it. Perhaps it was just not our day. I sure wish we would have seen or heard of someone catching/hooking something.

I was out there Saturday. The fish on Goodwin close up shop in the winter , but will turn on in March. Given that, I saw zero sign of freshly planted fish. They should have been just south of the launch. Too many coming up completely blank for me to believe we are all that bad of fishermen:)
