Hard to rate this a "one" as the nice, but cold day with the drive-in view of the Blue/Super Moon in waning eclipse and no fog or black ice made for a nice trip. However...I think that moon had something to do with one of my weirder, long non-fish trips; ZERO BITES & ZERO FISH over six hours for me, my fishing partner and from what we could see, at least 25+ other bank anglers. Every angler spoken to reported a similar puzzling result. Besides the moon, the dirty appearing water may have been a factor. All those bank anglers on a week day was strange, too.

Another public service report - if it wasn't for tuff luck you wouldn't have any luck at all - had been thinking about thawing
out the water "sled" and giving the big lake a try next week, but the forecast for the draw down begins on Monday and that
will spook the trout even more than a full moon - guess I'll take a drive to some more lakes before getting the boat out - TBA.
