Ok, as I posted under my Mayfield report, I read that Taidanampa North boat launch was open. So we headed straight there. When we got there the gate was locked and couldn't launch the boat. While this may not be news for you locals it was a complete bust for us. As far as I could tell while backtracking to Mayfield the Mossyrock launch is also out of commission. Even if the ramps were open the lake level is down about an estimated 200'. So the fishing would probably be pretty sketchy anyway. Saw only about three or four camps at the west end as well.

Thanks for the report man. I've been thinking about heading up to Riffe to fish off the dam side but sounds like it's not really worth the drive there now. Oh well, at least the trout opener's right around the corner, tight lines!

Curious where you read that any launches were open on Riffe? I've been following the lake level at TPUs website almost daily since construction began on the ramp improvements at Mossyrock, and all ramps have been closed since the end of Feb. Improved ramps at Mossyrock are supposed to be done by mid May. Looking today I see the levels are up about 5 feet from a week ago, so good to know it's finally on the climb.
