Great day on Cassidy—In fact it was our best bass day ever for that lake.

Not necessarily for numbers, though we caught 8, but for quality of fish. Of the 8 bass, four were over 2 lbs with a 3.3 lb “kicker.” Usually we’re thrilled to get ONE over 2#.

We were on the water at 5 am, big fish was at about 6:30am. But the bite was reasonably consistent until 11:00. We were off the lake by noon.

One disappointment was that I neglected to lock the SUV and found that it had been rifled through while we were on the lake. Only thing taken was a cheap pair of compact binoculars.

Don’t know if they would have broken a window to get in had it been locked, but it was still a disappointment.

Still a great day on a nice little lake!

Nice fish for Cassidy for sure. What did you have the best luck catching them on?

I hope your glasses were taken by a near sighted soul that needed them more than you.Glad you had a good day on the lake anyway.

Nice! I used to fish Cassidy in the early nineties. Always had good luck for Bass and Crappie using a small Perch Rapala. No lunkers but nice fish.
