I've caught those varmints (squawfish) at just about every depth, if there's kokanee there there's probably pikeminnows too. But thankfully the tiger muskies are taking a lot of them out for us and maybe one day they'll be gone (don't hold your breath though). Anyway thanks for the report, thinking about hitting Merwin on Tuesday.

9/23/2018 7:53:29 AMMy father-in-law owns property on the lake. In recent years the sqaw fish seem to have been overtaking the the koks, and rainbows. It's actually sad to hear if you have been running into them at 80'. Normally if your catching squaw your fishing too shallow. But the koks run around 70' at Merwin. Need the tiger muskie to get rid of em.
