It was Windy, boat control a bit of a problem. You could get one or two cast to an area and that was it. We only caught four and Ron got the big fish of the day, a nice 3 lb. 3 oz. Largemouth. After about 3 hours with out a bite we were just about ready to leave and Ron goes and catches this one so now we have to stay. Good fight, really FAT fish. I should of taken a pic of her belly, it was like two sided. I caught three but all together they didn't equal Ron's one. Boat ran good. Only two other boats on the lake and that wasn't until about 4:00. Wa. temp 61*-65* Vis. 3"-5". Really easy to get a pattern going, 1 on a senko, 1 on a crankbait, 2 on a spinnerbait.

I really struggled with the bass today. Sounds like it’s slow everywhere. I’m used to killing it in the fall, but it was slow. I was at my favorite Olympia area lake where I’ve always caught some good ones, but it was rough. Fished several hours without a bite. Finally got a little action but nothing spectacular. Ended up with seven 1-2lb bass, a crappie and two bluegill. I did have a nice trout dart out from under some lily pads and slam my crappie jig so hard it snapped my line on the strike. Whoops. Guess my new panfish rod has a little more backbone than I realized.
