Headed over to Potholes on Sunday with my buddy Jay. He launched me at 0730 and we motored over to the humps by the dunes. We found a couple that topped out at 12 FOW and threw blade baits and jigs. We had a few hits that felt like perch bites so off to trolling we went. We trolled smile blades up and down the humps; silver, blue red, gold, green all produced but no one color really stood out. We caught quite the variety of fish just like most of the other recent reports. Tally was 6 walleyes (kept 5), 4 perch, 3 largemouth, 2 bullheads, 1 bluegill (still not sure how that little bugger got hooked on my smile blade), and Jay trolled up a 15 lb. carp, best fight of the day. 22 FOW seemed to be where we caught most of our fish. I rated the day a 4 not because of the fish caught but because Potholes was almost like glass and it was warm out. Easy day for the boat driver. Not bad for the middle of October.

Nice! This time of year the weather and fishing can be great. I live about ten minutes from O'Sullivan reservoir and fish it regularly. I'm going to fish it for a couple days at the end of the week, can't wait.
Sounds like you guys had a good day, thanks for the report.

Geez that perch at the end of the board looks like a donkey.
