Some days you have it and others you don’t. Today was Kim’s day to have and mine to not. She always gets in the water the first but this time it was bites and fish, fast. She caught 8 fish and let 2 crappie go. I captured 3 and let a crappie go.

I started using what worked last week and it wasn’t working. I ended up using 6 different lure and dodger combinations’. Kim used 1 dodger and 2 lures. The corn was unscented.

The weather was about 60 air and the water 65-66. All clouds in the sky with a little bit of sprinkles. The water by the boat launch was warmer than by the dam. I fished between 5 to 26 feet on the downrigger. Kim had a fish on the surface and I am not sure how deep she went.

We started fishing around 7:30am and quit about 11:30.

The level of the water was down close to a foot from last week: 1,192.17 feet of elevation (maximum of 1,207 feet).

One thing I noticed in my filming, trout/kokanee and the white crappie can hang out together.

Toni, you have the underwater video thing dialed in. Congratulations, that is quite a variety of fish and I am glad that there are some kokanee in the mix.

Love all the Alder reports Toni. Nice to see the kokanee are still around this year. I am actually interested in catching a few crappies this year. I have never caught the in the past on my kokanee gear. Do you have any recommendations for location/depth to target them.
