The Mrs. and I decided to toodle up to Langley for the night. I brought along the fishing gear to see if we could pick up anything on the ride up from Edmonds. Started out with coho rigs, but then switched to pink gear. Had three fish in about 15 minutes. My wife did a great job with the net for the first time! Bled and put on ice and then headed up for the night out!
Pinks get a bad rap, but they are a fun fish to catch!

Pinks are good eating from the salt. I usually fry them up and boy are they good. Only salmon I dare to fry up lol. I wouldn't eat a pink that has started to change. Just not worth it. I usually keep females for eggs in the rivers and give the fish away to those that enjoy a fresh salmon whichever species it is

Pinks are great on light tackle. Real scrappers and great eating if you treat them right.
