What a beautiful place. Yesterday we got to watch elk, deer, turkeys, geese, ducks and eagles while fishing the Porcupine area. Tom an I fished leaded lines on a planer board, and 3 colors out the back. Baited perch and orange flies worked best, but so did the Mag Lip and jointed Rapala in the same colors. 2.2-2.5mph seemed to be most productive for us as we mainly worked the planer board right along the shoreline. The action was pretty steady until the sun got high in the sky. After that be put away the trolling gear and jigged up several walleye before calling it a day. Time passes too quickly this time of year. Definitely not enough hours in a day.
Tight lines and be safe. Things are getting slick out there.
