I gave it a 3 because it was such a beautiful day, but fish-wise it was probably a 2... We launched Pandemonium at Lincoln just before 9:00 and headed up and across to troll the flats, working down toward Sterling Point. Not much action at all, so we motored down to Whitestone and trolled down past Jones Bay and Hanson Harbor. We never found any concentration of trout, but brought in 3 big wild fish, 3 keepers, and one cooperative Walleye. Flatlined Rapalas in perch and fire tiger were the producers, although we threw the whole works at them throughout the day (flies, spoons, hoochies, with and without dodgers). Also had a couple hits on downriggers between 20 and 30 feet on a hoochie.

Given the way trout reports have been running that sounds like a decent day for sure. Glad you got some, seems like it has been a strange winter for trout. How was the Lincoln launch?

The Lincoln launch was fine, but it is getting pretty skinny as the lake drops. The entrance buoys are so close to the launch now, all I had to do was back away from the dock and we were in open water.

I'm planning to come over from west side early April. Any idea if the lincoln lauch will be usable? Also, i dont have much experience on this big water and the little experience has been very unsuccessful. Such a big body of water and never know where to target. Have tried a little at Spring canyon and close tonthe dam. This time starting further up like I said lincoln. I'd like to find some kokes as well as bows. Any suggestions heading in either direction from the lauch but be greatly appreciated.

The lake is currently at 1259 (and falling) and Lincoln is accessible down to 1245. The forecast can change, but by mid-April it will most likely be too low for Lincoln and Fort Spokane. Seven Bays, Keller and Spring Canyon are all deeper launches and almost always accessible. As for finding the fish... we'll keep looking!

Thanks, probably staying at Lincoln so hope can launch. 1st week of April not mid so hopefully enough water. Is any area as good as any other for kokes and bows? All the reports Ive read kind of lead one to believe that or have secret spots. I know the walleye areas are known and productive. Just not sure about targeting in early spring? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can PM if you'd rather as well.
