Hiked the 3 miles into this beautiful little canyon country lake. Bank access was limited but we found an abundance of hungry Rainbow Trout. Our later arrival seemed timed well with afternoon bug hatches and the fish were on the feed. Leech flies under water bobbers and Kastmasters both produced. The first 1.5 miles of this hike is relatively easy minus a 300 yard stretch of basalt scrabble. From there the trail climbs aggressively up to the lake.
