I had a few days of slow fishing before I finally stumbled on to the big Kokanee at Lake Roosevelt. The fish are feeding near the surface and I did best with silver moon jelly arrow flash dodgers with pink hoochies. Part of the biggest challenge right now is the amount of boat traffic and boats running planer boards makes it challenging to troll and navigate but if you put in your time you will find them and these giant Kokanee really are amazing.

Nice to see you fishing same water we do (even though much further upstream), beautiful kokes and a dandy 'bow. According to the Lake Roosevelt Forum, the hatchery koke program is finished and resources have been transferred to rainbow and hybrids. If I didn't dispose of my copy of the report, I'll post specifics.

Another great video. Gonna be there again soon. I just cant believe its surface action still this late in year. What are those weights you were using?
