appreciate the reports man! been wanting to come down there for a while now. how packed does it usually get there on weekday mornings? I'm sure weekends are a mad house. I've also been searching down further towards Kent/Auburn, but really want to see this part first (since its closer)

Just out of curiosity, why didn't you keep that jack? They are wonderful table fare, and shouldn't be left to spawn with adult fish..

Per page 17 of the current regulation book defines-

"Jack Salmon, Chinook and coho salmon that return at a younger age than most members of their species. For freshwater and in Willapa Bay (area 2-1) and Grays Harbor (area 2-2), a jack salmon is a Chinook less than 24" in length or a coho less than 20" in length"

The way i read it, is that jack salmon are a type of sub category, and not categorized with adult fish. Anyone have input on this?

Sorry man, I'm not trying to rag on you by any means. I just hate knowing those pesky delicious little jacks are in the system potentially breeding with healthy adult fish. Not good for the gene pool...
