Point Defiance 11-16-20
It was a rainy, really wet Monday. I haven’t been fishing in a couple of weeks and the governor put restrictions on the state to start Tuesday 12am and Wednesday 12am. I thought that I had better get some fishing in before he restricts that again as well.

Others there were catching squid while I was trying to get set up and ready. The tide was coming in as I casted out at 1:30pm. I didn’t catch any until about 2:30pm. At 3:30 I quit because it was getting to crowded and 3 tangles in a row was not worth fighting the wet and cold. I left with 5 squid.

Thanks for the report Toni. What restrictions on fishing are going into place? Where did you read that?

Last time Inslee shut the state down he, a few weeks later, shut fishing down. I went in anticipation of closure. Because there isn't any social distancing, at certain times, on the docks.

The lack of social distancing is one reason I have not gone after squid this year. I hope they don't shut down fishing because of it.
Have you seen anyone using a boat for squid? I have thought about that.
