Fished Jameson on the Fall opener as part of a threesome. We decided to try launch out the north end of the lake to check things out (and to avoid the last 6.5 miles of dusty road on the south side). When we got out on the lake, there were not a lot of boats on the water. There was also no wind. We tried a new spot, seeing that there were a few other boats around. The water depth was in the mid 40's, which was deeper than we had fished the lake before. We did not catch anything, so we moved closer to shore.. When we got to the mid 20's in depth, we started getting some fish. The fish we caught were only about 8 inches long. We pulled up anchor and headed further south to our favorite spot. No on was there, so we threw out our anchors (the infamous Jameson Lk wind was blowing by now), and fairly quickly we started catching fish. It only took us a few hours to limit. Most of the fish we caught were in the 8 inch range. We did catch a few that were a foot long, and the largest trout caught was 15 1/2 inches, a nice looking rainbow. The larger fish were caught on worms, the smaller ones on Powerbait. The water temperature was cooler than expected, 56.8 degrees at the surface. Once again it was another nice fishing trip with good company and good fishing.
