Rough luck at lake Roosevelt the last two days. First time in forty years I was skunked. Tried everything.... no luck on trout or Kokanee. Talked to a half dozen other boats and they had similar experience. Not sure if it was the recent full moon, fish heading up creeks to spawn, or didn’t hold my face right. Launched out of spring canyon and fished a dozen well known spots between there and Keller ferry. Disappointing, but still good to be on the water.

I read this report this morning after deciding last night with my wife that a trip to Roosevelt is in order as our season opener...enough of this lock down crap. I think your observation about the full moon may be partially to blame. I'm watching the water levels and it's only dropped a foot or two in the last 4 days. (Ft Spokane) so that can't be it. Possibly the early days of the spawn might do it but the 'trips don't spawn. Sounds like full examination of the water column to locate the rascals and use the appropriate tackle to bring them into the boat. If that fails, I'm with you....a day on the water beats the hell out of doing chores around the house.

I feel your pain brother, I've been there. Pretty convinced you weren't holding your mouth right although I have never figured out what "right" is. Stay after them, it's the right thing to do.

Not one bite Friday the 2nd, as well. I feel your pain. Beautiful day at least.
