Took Glenn and Mike out to the Arm. We had a really good day. We caught about 40 or so eyes and kept 35. I caught and released a 4-5 lb female and a 9.5 lb 30 inch male. You may ask how did you know it was a male? He was leaking his happy juice; the biggest male I've ever seen. All were caught on jigs. Couldn't get a picture of all of the fish laid out because they wouldn't fit on my table.

Couldn't get a picture because they wouldn't fit on the table. The day we all dream of. Nice FISH. I have yet to catch a truly big one but you keep showing me it's possible. Thanks for the good report.

Glad to see you laced them! I remember catching what I thought was a big male last year at 25inches, that thing is a monster on all accounts. The little one should be arriving sometime this week so hopefully I can get out in 2-3 weeks and catch a few stragglers that have yet to spawn.

Beautiful fish. It would have been interesting to take a scale sample and age that fish. Wonder if the WDFW would age a fish if approached by the sportsman angler? If I ever see a game dept Bio I'll try to remember to ask.

At one time the WDFW? was doing a net survey of Roosevelt in the fall? and published a report on the age, size distribution of the netted fish. Haven't heard of that in many years. Anyone know if they currently do that?

Walleye mark you are my hero. Love the pics and the reports ..hope to get on the arm soon with the jigs you have touted . If I may ask were you all over the arm or did you focus on spots?

Haven't fished the arm for several years but heading up next week. How are the different numbered buoys located on the arm, or in relation to Porcupine Bay? Would be a big help to know before I get there. Thanks in advance!

Way to go on another successful angling adventure Mark... You and your fishing buddys got it dialed in nicely and it's always refreshing to hear of your week to week successes. I know what you mean about the oddity of such a monsterous male. Caught a couple of those on the arm at Mocc. a few years back. Had they not been shooting their baby batter, I would have never expected they were dudes and not gals.
