I had heard the fishing was slow, but thought we would give it a try. I no sooner had my bat blade spinner, with a large nightcrawler in the water and I was hit. We made a complete pass from the boat launch to the north end and back, and we had 5 keep able fish in the boat while we returned several instructing them to grow up a little. The same day on our return to the boat launch my brother in law was bank fishing and proudly held up a 22 inch 4 and a half pound beauty using power bait. The fishing this day was great. Although not as good as last year. My question to the game and fish. "Why kill off a good producing waterway such as this to eliminate the gold fish, Why not incorporate some preditorial species to keep those numbers down"
