Glenn and I took advantage of a beautiful November day to hit the Arm again. After launching my Tracker we spent the day hitting deep holes between buoy 1 and buoy 3. We caught about 40 eyes lots of dinks, and kept 13 eaters for a going away for a buddy at work. Jigs, blade baits and jigging raps all produced. As a bonus I caught 1 burbot and both Glenn and I caught 5 lb whitefish. Amazingly we only saw 1 other boat all day and he didn't get on the water until after 1200. The drive to porcupine bay was pretty sketchy due to a heavy frost on the roads.

Whitefish! 5 lbs, now that's a score.

Ooooh, whitefish! Fine eating and the largest fish mass in the lake , if you can find’em. On bladebaits deep?

Both whitefish were released. They were caught upriver in current and about 35 fow. They were caught on jigs and do fight like crazy. Definitely full of eggs.

Hi WM1, great report, thank you! Can you please tell what approximate depth were you fishing? Also, do you use some heavy blade baits? I'm very new to Columbia fishing, and I don't know much about weight/rig of the blade bait for current and big depth. I've only fished on lakes with max depth of 50 - 60 ft, not sure the same rig will work for spokane confluence area right now. Thank you!

Ron, I use 5/8 oz blade baits and 7/8 oz jigging raps. This time of year we fish in 20 to 70 fow depending on where we are. In the winter most of the eyes are holding in deeper holes in the Arm and on humps out on the main river. 1/2 and 5/8 oz jigs are also standard fair.
