Shawn and I went out with Glenn for a little mid-week trip to the Arm. We launched at 0700 and had our first eyes in the boat soon after. Our first stop proved very successful as we caught about 50 eyes and had 32 in the live well by 0930. The bite slowed shortly after so after some exploring, we found a spot that allowed us to move up to 65 caught and 40 eyes in the 14 to 20 inch range. Jigs were most productive with a perch colored swim bait working best for me. Glenn released a 6.5 lb eye and a 7 lb rainbow. No photos of those unfortunately.

Well at least I get some encouragement from your reports, you are proof that they are there. I tried today and all I got was cold.

Not a guide just a determined, meaning stubborn, walleye fisherman. Part-time we just keep jigging our arms off till we find fish. This time of year there are only a few areas that are holding any kind of numbers and we have gotten lucky to find a few. A guy could probably troll up a few but jigs, Blade baits and jigging raps really allow you to thoroughly work an area. We constantly fan cast looking for active fish and when we find them we are not shy about casting in the same spot as our buddy

Mark, thanks for the info. My plan was to bottom bounce until we got some hits, hopefully in a spot I had done well in before but they just weren't there. Went up past B5 and when that didn't pan out we dropped down. Found some fish on finder right before we had to leave but couldn't get a hit so we had to bail. The fog didn't burn off until around 2 and it was way colder than I thought it would be. Of course had we been catching fish we wouldn't have noticed. Going to work on keeping a journal of where and when.
Keep up those encouraging reports.

Great report. What water depth seemed to work best?

OGF, as the water level goes down we have been consistently spot locking in 45 FOW and then just doing a lot of fan casting to locate fish
