Gavin joined Glenn and me on today's fishing adventure. After Glenn's white knuckle drive on black ice from Spokane we launched his boat out of Porcupine Bay. We spent the day going from just above Ft Spokane to buoy 5. We hit at least 10 different areas and eventually ground out a bunch of walleyes. We fished in water from 15 to 50 feet deep. By the end of the day, the back of Glenn's boat looked like a Russian assault on the grub/swimbait section at cabelas. There were grub/swimbait carcasses everywhere. Glenn had the hot hand and we caught 55 eyes, 4 smallies and 1 whitefish. We cleaned 40 eyes.

Do you find fishing better or worse when it is sunny vs cloudy?

This time of year it's not going to matter as much because the eyes are on a mission. I had a male yesterday that already thought it was time to find a girlfriend. The weather affects us more than the fish

Nice mess there Mark and convenient to have a dry dock for a big fillet table. :-)

Looks like another great ay of walleye fishing for you guys. Looks like the Packernut and I should have been in the arm. We had a decent day fishing the main lake, launching out of fort Spokane, and grinding out 17 walleyes in 25-75 feet of water, ranging from 16-20". I don't like fishing muddy water but probably need to remember that hungry fish need to eat, even when the water gets muddy. I may get in another walleye trip or two before the pike start biting. :)

As of yesterday the Arm wasn't muddy yet but it will be once the muddy water makes its way through Long Lake. The eyes are still going to be there you'll just have to hit them on the head.
