Took my soon to be four year old granddaughter to the lake today for her very first fishing trip. At her age we were lucky to get to the lake and start fishing by 11 a.m. but this trip was for her, not me, and she set the time. Unbelievable fishing!!! Her first fish came immediately, a little 10 incher, followed by a 17 inch and an 18 inch holdover. We left for the day landing 3 holdovers to 18 inches and 6-8 smaller fish to 12 inches. Fish the hedges across from the launch in about 30 feet of water. We used powerbait but I usually use single eggs this time of year suspended off the bottom. Good luck, we had it.
