After a dicey drive to the Lincoln boat launch, we launched in the fog and went down stream, ending up in brilliant sunlight. After an hour of no fish, we started catching 14 to 20 inch rainbows with rapidity. 20 feet down, with kekeda flies and a bit of worm, 150 feet behind the boat. 19 fish in the boat and my grandsons were entirely impressed. Hell, I was impressed! This was the most memorable Thanksgiving morning we could have. I’ll remember this forever.

Thanks for the report, glad you had a good day. The Kekeda flies 20 feet down 150 feet back sounds like it could have been my report. The difference is that dicey drive comment. Just can't get up the courage to deal with these slick roads.
Merry Christmas

Gotta’ say the drive was marginal, esp. from et 2 to Lincoln. The grins on my grandsons/ son in law was entirely worth it. And damn , these trout are the finest tableware one could ask for.

Agree totally with the fine tableware. People that haven't had a good Lake Roosevelt trout are really missing out. Kokes may be a bit better but mainly they are just more fun to catch.

I love Kekeda flies and you're absolutely correct about Roosevelt 'bows being fine eats. I frequently tell people, in my humble opinion, Lake Roosevelt is the best trout fishery in the state.

Thanks for braving the conditions, spending time with your grandsons, and posting an excellent catching report. :-)
