I put my line in the water at 8:50am. My son had already got a bite. He forgot his water so we left as it started to get warmer. We stopped fishing at 11:30pm.
In a week the water temperature had gone up to 64 from 60.
I got the first fish in the boat and it was a kokanee. The first one for me in 2 years. There were more lulls in the bites than the week before but we got more in the boat. We ended with 6 kokanee and 4 trout in the boat. The kokanee were 3 adipose fins clipped with and 3 without.
We lost plenty. There are still a lot of fish that I saw and share on the video. While we had lulls there was plenty of action. If I got one on the downrigger my longline would get bites. My son had the best though, he got one on the downrigger then his longline got one. As he was preparing to clip the line to the downrigger clip one got hooked which he handlined into the boat. A first for him.
The lake level was 1,192.03 feet
We went from 1.2-1.7 mph for speed and from about 25-39 feet on the downrigger and longlines.

Nice report. I saw you had a fish hooked on the DR for 60 seconds- that should release after 10-15 seconds- with the first pull the fish makes doing his acrobatics which then shows on your rod tip. If your DR weight is no more than 1 pound per 10 foot lake depth and the release clip is set for a 5# pull- it should only be on the rod line, bouncing like crazy. I bought a Shuttle Hawk so I don't have to ever bring up the DR weight except when done- no more hands and knees to hook it up after every fish. The factory setting is perfect for Kokanee. The loop is clamped by the spring pads, not around them. One can lose (or damage) a lot of fish that are fighting a high resistance DR weight/line with no stretch compared to a ultra-light rod and nylon line especially if a soft mouth. Possible to distribute any of the live load forward- fuel cans, ice/fish box, anchor, electric motor battery (65#)? A braid line would show the bites more than nylon if you change anything that would be my No.1. Thanks for posting- hope any of my thoughts help your net ratio.
