Went to the shore by the boat launch at Fort Lewis at about 9:30.
Used green power eggs gooey with Berkeley trout attractant on size 10 hooks attached to 3 foot 4lb leader (my dad used 6lb)of the bottom. We stayed until 12:00. Caught 15 fish between us and kept 10. It was fun but nothing bigger than 13 inches. The average take among the other anglers in the area was 3 but some had 5. The fish are many for the time being but small. I believe
that the crowds are probably scaring the bigger trout. I guess that I will have to wait for the winter. Then all the wannabe fisherman will leave thinking that all the fish are gone.
