I went to American Lake about 8 am and put my boat in at the launch. I went straight out and started trolling a green F4 flatfish, then switched to a rooster-tail. Trolled for about an hour with no luck. I pulled in and went to the other end of the lake and bottom fished for an hour. Still no luck, so I trolled back to the launch. At the point just to the right of the launch I hooked into 3 13" bows within 10 min. trolling a ford fender (brass) and small trout rappalla. I then had to go and troll to the launch and hooked another out a few yards from the launch. I lost it as it came in sight. All in all, I learned....START AT THE LAUNCH AND FISH OUT! There only 3 other boats on the lake till about 9am when two jet skiers came to annoy me. Oh well, America...what a country!
