Took out new boat to see how outboard was going to run. Launched at the State of Washington ramp near Ike Kinswa Park. Boat in water and fishing the Tilton Arm by 9:30 AM. Water was calm with little wind early but kicked up later in day. Few boats were on the lake and we did not see a fish caught by other boaters or bank anglers. The entire lake seemed to be turning over as constant bubbles were rising to the surface as we trolled the Tilton and Cowlitz arms of the lake.

Mid afternoon we hooked and landed one cutthroat of 12". It was a very skinny fish and later gutting indicated that it was either lethargic from low water temps or food is scarce. Stomach contained two ladybugs, and a few small round worms with associated bottom feeding debris. The fish came from the Tilton arm and hit a green wedding ring trolled behind a string of large brass blades.

Heard of good catches in the upper Cowlitz arm and earlier in week large fish caught deep near dam. Never saw any of these fish, so sources somewhat suspect.
