Last few hours around sunset. Several nice 12" to
14" bows using #14 tan parachute caddis (true, most like to troll
big ugly black wooley buggers on sinktips at Rattlesnake, but
I personally find that boring. For the more dry fly purist, there can
be good fish on top with caddis late in day. Also mixed hatch of
smallish (#16ish Callibaetis mayfly and rusty spinners on surface).
Focused on far south end of lake among the stumps.
Wish City Light could delay locking the gate till 10:30 pm instead of
9:30. Best fishing is in those last few hours of light during summer, and its not good to be locked in. Also, water level HIGH - float tube or small boat a must!
