Today my cousin and I went to the Arboretum to try out the bass fishing. We arrived there at about 6:45 and there were already 3 people fishing. One dude caught 2 small perch and he had hella bites but couldn't set the hook in their mouth. He was using a bobber and worms. In the beginning, we were using plastic worms, but after about an hour without success, I switched over to a yellow crank bait. On my third cast, I hooked up to a bass that was about
1-2 lb., but unfortunately I didn't set the hook hard enough and as I pulled the fish up to the dock, the bass spit the hook. I was hella upset cuz that was the very first time I have ever hooked a bass in Lake Washington. Anyway, we left at about 10:30 without taking any fish home.
