The wife and I went fishing between 10:00AM and 1:00 PM. We worked the north shore with bottom bouncers and chartreuse walleye worm harness spinners. Got lots of bites from perch and we caught about 8 of them. But no walleye. The best spot for the perch and they were keeper size was out from the little bay about two thirds of the way down the lake in 20 to 30 feet of water. We also worked the little slack water "hook" area right as you come into the lake on the south shore, right as the cliffs start.I've caught smallmouth here before and I did this trip also. Nothing to brag about. We also caught some more keeper size perch. Has anyone else noticed the return of descent size perch the last few years. And I mean in all lakes not just crescent.
Weather was breezy with partly cloudy conditions and the temp was in the upper 60's maybe lower 70's.Please excuse my spelling I'm only a cc grad.
