My partner and I went with very little expectations. By all reports, a disease hit the fish last year and ruined the fishery for years. We fished off the bank in the early morning and caught more fish than we expected. Unfortunately, the 3 float-tube fishermen that joined us caught fish after fish. It was a beautiful day, so we went to the float tube fly fishing and caught as many fish as we could handle. Many are small (2-3 lbs) but a few reach across the apron. We did see an unfortunate but humorous sight. A guy parked his truck in the upper lot, took forever to get to the lake, paddled across to his favorite site and proceeded to tell us he could catch fish at will. He then hooked a huge fish immediately and played it for quite a while. When he had it next to his net, the hook popped out and sunk in the side of his tube. He actually created a wake as he paddled to shore. I should admit that he got his tube fixed showed up later when no fish were being caught and caught fish at will..
