A friend and I fished about 9 hours in Potholes Reservoir, between the Frenchman's Wasteway and the State Park boat launch. We caught 2 rainbows over 2 lbs, and one small 8 in trout
on Wedding Rings with worms behind pop gear. My friend caught 2 fish and had some more strikes perhaps due to his trolling slightly lower with about 2 oz sinker ahead of the pop gear.
We did better than most though, since we saw only one other fish boated, and talked to others who were skunked.
We did see several fish jump in the lake, including some real monsters. Apparently, last year this area was real hot, but Saturday didn't produce that many fish for most. We did have fun
though, which is what counts.
