My friend and I fished the lake after fishing a little Bass pond near by. It was hot with only a light breeze. I did see several fish caught and you could see fish cruising in the shallows along the shore. Corkies seemed to be as good as anything and in fact accounted for the fish I saw caught. All day long and only one fish for me and no hits for my friend (who actually is a better fisherman). It stripped out all my fly line and at least 50 ft of backing. I thought I had foul hooked the fish! It turned out to be a typical 18" fat rainbow. Really good fight for 66 degree water! The lake is getting pretty warm and I might not make another trip over till fall.
