Got to the lake late (8am)and set out in the canoe. We weaved through all the other boats for a while and only managed one fish in the first hour. In the second hour, we found a relatively isolated spot that was HOT. Every pass through we got hits. Within the second hour we both had our limits. The fish ranged from 8 inches to a couple fat 12inchers. About had our pole hanked from the boat a few times! At one point, Josh and I had fish on at the same time! Watched as a man and his son battled a monster trout (several pounds). The 7 or 8 yr old fought it for about 5 mins before his dad helped him lose it at the net. They were very disappointed, but I bet the youngster is hooked for life!
By the way, my fishing buddy (Josh)is 12 years old and very new to fishing. It was sure fun to watch him reel in fish after fish. Josh is my little brother - we are memebers of Big Brothers of King County. I highly recommend the program. Email me for more info..
