My partner, Den, and I hooked up for a day of fly fishing. Took his boat instead of pontoons so we could get to north end. Water temp mid 50s and air temp about 60 with light winds. Fished chironimid patterns. Managed about 20 fish, most in 12-14" range but 7-8 at 18-20". Late in day moved to and anchored in deep water off boat launch. Fished large patterns with sink lines and SLOW retrieve as hatch of large chironimids was coming off. We were lucky and hit what I call the "Magic Hour". Another 20-25 fish were landed as we had takes on nearly every cast/retrieve. 10 fish were 18" or better with the highlight being Den's fat 21" brownie. What an awesome outing!!
