Hadnt been to Cassidy in a few weeks, so I headed out there after work, to see if the bass were bitin. Within the first few minutes I caught a small largemouth, about 9" or so. It looked to have had some sort of infection, as there was a spot about 3/4" round on its lower rear that looked like a blister that you or I would get. Not sure what that is all about, but hey Cassidy isnt known for its clean water. Hooked into a 4-5 pounder in the grass/pads on the east side of the lake, fought it for about 3-4 seconds and then it got me tangled in the sticks/weeds and spit the hook. Gotta love it when you lose a good sized one. Not much else going other than a 2 pounder caught on the north end in the very small cove. All fish were caught on a 4" black/smoke senko with silver flake. Water temp was 76 degrees mid-afternoon and 72 in the evening.
