Fished from 8am to 11am. Started out cloudy, calm, by end of the mornign got a few springles but I didn't melt. Water temp 64, species targeted - bass. I started on the far north shore, casting a floating minnow into the shoreline reeds. I felt a heavy weight on the end of my line the instant the lure hit the water. I set the hook and was into a nice bass. Fought like a bulldog but eventually came to the net. I revieved, took a photo, and released. Weight 4 pounds, 18" long. Continued to work my way along the shoreline. Around 9am hooked another nice smallmouth bass, about 14" long. It darted out from under a pier to grap my minnow. I tried other lures during the mornign but no dice. Saw lots of spawn beds and a few good size bass cruising the shallows. Ended the day with another big bass followign my minnow back to the boat. I tried varying the speed but all he would do was follow and look. This one looked like another in the 4 pound class. Goodwin definately has some big bass! Called it a day. One more bass would have bumped this report to a "4".
