okay here is the low-down, trout are out. I got there at about 2 and checked all of the "hot spots" no guts, no bait, or beer cans ( beer cans at heart are good signs that the local seasoned fishers have been there) and there were no sighs of tiremarks at the boat launch or skid marks in the dirt. if you turn right from the parking lot ( or if you are coming from town you can drive past the parking lot. when you get about to the end of the decent spots on the road end there will be a small dirt patch turn out thingy - there will be a guard rail- stop where it starts- park in the little thingy.) there will be 2 spots. the first is overgrown in weeds (mainly lilies) there will be a spot or 2 from the one by the guard rail- the second spot FROM the gard rail, is better for casting. but IF you insist, you can fish at the first. I saw bass like you wouldn't believe big 18 inchers- and bigger. they chased worms but wouldnt bite, I also tried a rapala but I lost it. they were biting on small fingerlings - I think they were trout anyway. they were eating the trout. I didn't catch anything, but maybe some more experienced fisher could get one of em( hey, I am only 14). I would suggest getting there around 9 am ish if you have a boat, fish the shallows around that marshy area.
