I bought a new noodle rod and had to try it out, so my future sin-on-law (I hope) and I hit the water. He got 4 bites and I landed two fish (11-12"). We were trolling with powerbait. It worked.

Found a hole down from the boat launch where I pulled 5 nice cutthroat out of. fishing 23' of water running lure at 20' SLOW.
Water was cold and the wind was blowing they were tight to the bottom.
